Details: For those with little or no experience on the wheel, we will cover basic skills like centering and the steps of throwing a cylinder along with trimming and glazing. Also, for those with little to no experience to handbuilding, we will cover basic skills like coil work, pinch pots, with a focus on fun and functional pieces.
Class fees include all instruction + 1/2 box of clay + use of studio tools & glazes.
*Students must bring own aprons and towels.

Details: For the true novice or for one seeking to learn more and sharpen their current wheel throwing skills. Over 6 weeks Nick will guide you through many foundational techniques including centering, throwing a cylinder, and trimming. A focus will also be on learning glaze techniques while finishing your creations.
Class fees include all instruction + 1 bag of clay + use of studio tools & glazes.

Geared towards students who have completed Level 1 and with discussion with instructor that they are in a good place to advance, or for those with a good understanding of wheel basics, trimming, and good rudimentary glaze practices.
This course is about the refinement of items such as bowls, mugs, and cylinders, as well as extending to items such as bottles, closed forms, and altered forms.

This course is geared towards stuents who have completed 4+ multi-week courses or have at least 2 years of practical experience. A discussion can always be has if you feel like you are ready for this level.
If you can make basic items like bowls, mugs, and cylinders with ease, and want to take your wheel skills to the next level, this course is for you.
An emphasis will be placed on making larger pieces, multi-piece works, lidded forms, or bringing a special project you’ve been wanting to try to fruition.
